If Your Family Is The Most Important Thing In The World To You...

If You Want A Memory You Will Cherish Forever...

If You Realize How Quickly Things Change...

This Information Will Be Priceless To You.

Hello, Friend!
Your family is changing so fast, isn't it? Your children are growing up, and becoming more like adults every day. Or maybe they are adults already with their own growing family. Don't you wish you could just "freeze time" and hold these special moments forever? My name is Paul Bormann, and capturing wonderful family memories is what I've devoted my life to. I'm a Professional Family Portrait Photographer, but
more than that, I'm just like you... I'm a family person with two kids and now four grandchildren of my own.

We Can Stop The Clock. Memories Are The Most Valuable Thing We Own.

While we measure time with clocks & calendars, we remember times in moments of an event. It is these moments that trigger our deepest emotions; joy or loss, blessing or pain. I want to capture a moment of joy with your family and help you remember it with beautiful images. I know from personal experience and from what some of my past clients have told me, that these cherished family photographs can be so wonderfully helpful in getting through those inevitable times of loss & pain that are part of the cycle of life we all experience.

Have you noticed that the older you and your children get, the faster time seems to fly? Have you ever wished that you had photographs of a special family member or friend you grew up with to remember them by?  Or maybe you feel like one client who said"I want a family portrait so my kids know where they belong."

Let me say at the outset that I am a Full-Service Professional Photographer. That means that I will be there to help you with as many of all aspects of the portrait process as you need. This includes the planning of what clothing to wear and portrait location, the best time of day based on the time of year, and the location selected.

After we have created a great set of images, I can come to your home show your portraits, and help you pick the best ones. If that isn't practical or you're not from this area, I can post your images in an online gallery to review and select from at your convenience.

Throughout This Page, You'll See and Hear From Families Who Have Had Their Lives Forever Enriched By the Lasting Memories of Professional Family Portraits ---
--- But There Were Things Even They Didn't Know When They Started Looking For a Photographer...

"We are so pleased with the beautiful family portrait Paul Bormann created for us!  He found a wonderful outdoor spot for our portrait, was great to work with and afterward helped us select the perfect size portrait and frame for our home.  He was even able to switch one of our son’s face from another image to make the perfect portrait for all of us!"

5 Myths And Misconceptions About Having A Family Portrait Created - The Stuff 98% Of People Don't Know:

By visiting my website, you must at least be considering having a portrait of your family created. That's great! You will rarely make a decision that will bring you more lasting enjoyment. However, there are some things you NEED to know before you and your loved ones step in front of any camera.

By the time you finish reading this page, you will know everything you need to know about how to have the perfect family portrait created - the one you will cherish the rest of your life and even pass down to your children as a treasured family heirloom! You may feel that having a family portrait done is going to be a lot of work on your part. Well, it isn't! As long as you know the information on this site, it won't be much work at all on your part.
....So, here’s

#1 Myth Or Misconception:
"There's No Way To GUARANTEE I Will Love My Family Portraits."

WRONG! Depending on who creates your family portrait, that is. I believe strongly that no one should ever have to pay for a photograph that isn't PERFECT. That's why I am the only Professional Photographer from Lake Arrowhead to Big Bear to offer the following guarantee:

CHECK THIS OUT - A Guarantee Unlike Any You've Ever Heard:

If your family doesn't look the best they've ever looked together In these photographs - If you don't totally love them (not just be “satisfied“ with them), I'll refund all your money.

That's my guarantee and personal promise to you. As far as I know, there's no other photographer around that will make you this super guarantee. These photographs will be completely meaningless to you unless they convey the real emotions and relationships between you and your loved ones. That's the only real reason to have a family portrait created.

Obviously, I'm totally confident that the portraits I create of you and your family will be well beyond anything you imagine. I believe completely that these photographs will become your most prized possessions - that, if your house were on fire, you would grab them on the way out of your burning home.

This is not arrogance. I can't stand arrogance. No, this is just a confident belief in my well-experienced abilities to capture natural, real emotions and family relationships with my camera. That's what I've devoted my life to, and that's why I'm so looking forward to photographing your family for you.

If you are not totally happy with your photographs - if you are dissatisfied for ANY reason at all, I will do two things for you:

1st - At NO CHARGE, I will photograph your family again, and make sure that anything that wasn't perfect is fixed, without you paying another cent.

2nd - If I am absolutely unable to please you - if I'm unable to create a photograph that you feel you will cherish forever, I will refund EVERY PENNY you invested in my time to create them. You don't pay for your photographs unless you love them!

If I don't end up being your photographer, make ABSOLUTELY SURE your photographer offers this strong of a guarantee. If they are good, they should back up their work by taking all the risk off of you.

"Mr. Bormann was wonderful to work with.  He came to our home two weeks before to figure out the optimum location for our portraits

at our home and give us clothing suggestions so we knew exactly what to expect.

With a family of 17 and a dozen different groupings, it could have been very chaotic but Paul was well organized and worked very efficiently to create everything we asked of him in our limited window of time on Thanksgiving Day.

The results were great! We just love all our portraits, the lighting, background, color, and expressions are all perfect. And prices are very reasonable, especially considering the high level of personalized service and professionalism he provided us.

#2 Myth Or Misconception:
"It doesn't much matter what photographer you hire to create your family portrait, they're all pretty much the same, so just find the cheapest one."

Nothing could be further from the truth. If you're at all like most people, you've probably had this question going through your mind: "How do I choose the right photographer?" In fact, you may even have thought of someone in your family - an uncle, a grandparent, even a friend - who is a bit of an AWAC (Amateur With A Camera). Why not just have that person create a photograph of your family?

If you were sick and had to go to a doctor, would you want the "cheapest" doctor, or the best one? Well, there's really no question. It's no different with your family's memories. You may find a cheaper, less experienced photographer somewhere. But there are several important things to consider than just price...in addition to the above guarantee!

The Photographer You Choose Should Care About YOUR FAMILY AND YOUR MEMORIES, Not Just About "Making A Buck" Off You.

I enjoy becoming a family friend of every family I photograph. You see, I didn't get into photography to get rich. I’ve always loved photography since high school. But as I had my own family and watched my own children grow up, I Realized That Memories Were Priceless - That there was no more wonderful profession than to become a "Memory Giver."

Time is the one thing that none of us have enough of. It's the one thing that money can't buy.  Through photography, we can hold on to the moments in our lives that we wish could last forever. And, if it's done correctly, these same photographs can become like works of art that we display in our homes for everyone to see and share.

Don't Make The Decision As To Who Will Photograph Your Family Until You Chat With Me.

There's no cost, and no obligation to talk with me, and it could make a huge difference as to how great your portraits will look.

Don't worry. I'm not going to try to "sell you" on working with me. I'm already very busy, and I don't need to pressure anyone to work with me. I'll just talk to you about your portraits, and help you discover what your photographs could be like. If you decide to have me create your portraits - great. If not, no problem.

"We totally enjoyed our entire experience with Paul   Bormann.  He has a great personality that made our session fun and he was very patient with our requests for a variety of poses and locations.  Even our ordering appointment was relaxing and enjoyable.  It was very cool to be able to see our portrait projected at different sizes, which helped us make the optimum decision for our wall portrait, which we just love!  And our individual portraits that he didn’t charge any extra to take, turned out great, too.”

#3 Myth or Misconception:

"To Have a Perfect Group Portrait, Everyone Must Have Good Expressions At The Same Instant The Photograph Is Taken."

Back in the film days, this was true. However, now that we are well into the high-resolution digital age, a lot of things can be done after the images are created to correct or enhance the photo. The more people there in a group, the more likely we will need to do "head swaps", where we take someone’s face from one image where they look great but others may not and transpose that person into a second similar image where everyone else looks their best.

In fact, this has become rather common for us to do in our quest for creating the perfect portrait of your family that everyone will love. No more compromising one person for the greater good of the group! Knowing head swapping may be needed is why we take plenty of photographs of the group so we will have ample "donor" images available. This greatly improves the probability of getting at least one good image of even the most wiggly two-year-old. (And, no, you cannot tell any digital 'transplant surgery' has been performed in the final image-see sample below)

Before-After family HS sample 1-webBefore-After family head swap sample

Expanding on these technological possibilities, we have on several occasions added missing people to a group photograph who were unable to be present for the anniversary or family reunion portrait. As long as we (or you) can later photograph them in similar lighting, we just leave space for them to be added when creating the group portrait. How helpful is that? Does that open up some new possibilities for you?

#4 Myth Or Misconception:
"We Have To Figure Out Clothing, Makeup, Location, etc. all on our own"

Okay, normally you would be right thinking that. However, as a full-service photographer, I pride myself in going beyond what others consider 'normal'. I'm going to help you with all of those things.

My Years Of Experience Photographing Families - Yours FREE  If you’ve read this far, you are probably considering having a family portrait created. You may even be considering choosing me as your photographer - but I don't want you to make that decision just yet.

No matter who creates your photographs for you, you will need to make some decisions. What clothing should your family wear? Where should this photograph be created? There are a number of things to think about, and I will walk you through all of them personally

.Since we don't use a studio for family portraits, location is a primary consideration.

Picture all of you gathered out in a beautiful, secluded spot in the forest or by the lake, or even on your boat. Or maybe in your favorite room in your home, outside on your deck. or in your backyard. All of you are dressed in clothes the photographer helped you choose - clothing that conveys your individual personalities, but still looks great together and helps everyone feel comfortable. Well, that's what makes all the difference, and that's what I will do for you.

"We’re thrilled with our portrait by Paul Bormann!

Having our kid's portrait created in our home’s front yard made it very meaningful and personalized for us. We felt so comfortable and it was fun to be able to include our dog.

"The time Paul spent with us in advanced planning wardrobe, location & time of day for best light really paid off!  Later, seeing our photographs projected to different sizes was very helpful in choosing the right size for us“.

Tom & Linda Pierson, Lake Arrowhead, Ca

And it is SO important that all of you feel totally comfortable in front of the camera! Nearly everyone I've ever met tells me the same thing: "I never look natural in pictures." The last thing you want is a photograph where you have that fake "posed" look on your face. That's why it's so important that you feel very natural and comfortable with your photographer. I'm told by many clients that my easy-going personality and kidding around with the younger family members really helped them all relax, forget about the camera and just have fun together. And THAT is the key to having natural-looking expressions in a portrait and that's what I'll do for you.
